On December 2, 2022, Louis Mirando, Founder of the Streamline Group moderated the Fordham Real Estate Institute (“REI”) panel discussion on “Solving the Affordable Housing Crisis.” The discussion was part of REI’s Visionary Series.
The discussion panel featured Chris Dunn, Managing Partner, Mission Peak Capital; Michael LaCour-Little, Principal, Fannie Mae, Economic and Strategic Research Group; Katherine McAdams, Director of MFH Affordable Lending, Wells Fargo; and Jed Resnick, CEO, Douglaston Development.
The REI panel discussed the recent construction of Class A luxury properties rather than more affordable options, the cost benefits offered by manufactured housing, zoning concerns, and the need for collaboration among government, developers, and lenders to resolve the current crisis.
